Dr Malhotra is a practicing Internal Medicine physician and an entrepreneur. He brings to Smart Health Technology, an in depth knowledge of the health care industry from a practicing physician's perspective, a background in sales from fourteen years in retail prior to medicine. In addition to Smart Health Technology his ventures include Khanapina.in LLC. www.khanapina.in a restaurant listing website for India. Dr Malhotra received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from Rutgers University and his Medical Degree from Ross University.

In 1991, David created the SMART Association (SMART)™ and through his leadership has grown SMART to become the nationwide healthcare industry leader in HIPAA compliant, permission-based membership marketing strategies. SMART delivers a gold standard solution to healthcare providers for their membership-based marketing systems and operations. Under David's leadership, SMART created merchant alliances with nearly all leading national brands providing loyalty programs and merchant discounts to consumers, including exclusive merchant agreements with Target, CSV, LensCrafters, Kroger, HearPO, Sears, and hundreds of other national vendors throughout the United States. These merchant alliances are part of the LifeMed ID solution and available to LifeMed ID customers providing an incentive and rewards system for healthy behaviors, care plan adherence and patient activation.
David has created strategic operational initiatives, guided product development and has formed a strong team of seasoned executives to ready LifeMed ID™'s growth and expansion. He has completed definitive business agreements with global smartcard OEM's Oberthur, Germalto and Watchdata providing competitive advantage, has created an alliance with Claremont Graduate University's Kay Center for e-Health Research teaming LifeMed ID with leading academic, policy and nationally recognized researcher's in Healthcare reform and Information Technology. LifeMed ID has created a suite of leading-edge and proprietary software products leveraging the "services cloud" of the Internet to provide solutions could save lives while delivering extreme business value to healthcare organizations and providers.
